How waterproof is the Freefly16?
Bags with Freefly in the name are built from waterproof materials, have sealed seams, and feature PU coated water resistant zippers. These bags are not designed for submersion, but they will protect from inclimate weather and are therefore considered to be weatherproof.

How do I pack up and stow the Freefly16?
We suggest folding the pack in thirds vertically and rolling up tightly from the bottom. Unzip the top closure so that air can escape as it is rolled up. For detailed instructions, the demo video below shows the full pack up.

Is the Freefly16 hydration compatible?
No. For hydration compatibility, we suggest the Freerain28, Beast18, or Beast28.

Does this pack have a hip belt?
No. For a hip belt, we suggest the Freerain22 or Freefly28.

Does this bag have a warranty?
Yes, all advanced series bags are warrantied for 3 years. Bags in and out of warranty are eligible for repairs.

Great construction and material, do not like the front pocket

This bag is well designed, stylish, and comfortable. The tall side pockets on the Freefly 16 are great for holding drink. Unfortunately, I am disappointed with the front pocket. On a daily carry, I really believe there should be a difference in height between the main compartment and front pocket. The front pocket should be a short/shallow "hand-depth" one that you can easily reach in and find smaller things, like my sunglass case, sunscreen, keys, wallet, etc, while the main compartment is the full-size tall/deep "arm-depth" that can carry larger things. The front pocket on the Freefly16 bag is nearly as tall as the main compartment, so what's the point? Just one person's opinion. I bought this to completely replace my previous daily carry, but unfortunately, I still end up using my previous one at least half the time because the front pocket size is more appropriate for most situations. I live in Japan so returning the bag would cost too much, so I find myself trying to justify reasons to reach for the Freefly, when ideally, it would be a no-brainer. I do like the design, material, build quality, etc. so I hope in the future you make a bag with a "hand-size" front pocket.
