It's no secret that the team at Matador has a big time crush on Iceland. The Land of Ice and Fire has got it all - waterfalls, volcanos, fjords, auroras - what's not to love? While we might be stuck behind our desks this week, we're dreaming about a drive around this awe-inspiring country.

Here are some shots from some of our favorite adventurers, and some ethereal music inspired by the wonders of Iceland to take you along for the ride.

By pure coincidence we ended up high above this awesome little gorge near the southern coast of Iceland and not far away from some very crowded tourist hot spots. Here, there was nobody else around and we pitched our tent five minutes later.

Fjaðrárgljúfur (Feathers Canyon) is a magnificent and epic canyon in southern Iceland. It's walls bends and breaks and looks like a feather from above. This shot is a vertical panorama taken with my DJI Phantom 3 standard. I have a video explaining this location. It's easy to get addicted. The feeling can be really hard to forget... Photographer and surfer alike, we were both mesmerized by the simple idea that is was even possible. Fueled by a passion to try something new we pushed our cameras to the absolute limit ( often shooting ISO 40,000 +) & ourselves even further.
