Great Tech Pack

We've been using the Beast 28 pack all over the world for several years now. I usually pack it in my checked luggage so I have it available to transfer gear specific to a day or outing from our travel gear in general. The 28 pack is tough, well designed, comfortable when loaded and has a very functional suspension system that rivals climbing specific packs. Its a buy. You'll love it as well!

The perfect travel pack

My wife and I are full time travelers having been traveling around the world for the last eight years. Having said that, it is extremely difficult to find the “perfect” daypack solution. We recently purchased the Beast28 and immediately set off to SE Asia for a year. The Beast28 is the closest to perfection pack we have owned to date. On one hand, it is well designed for air travel, being light, stable with the frame, ease of access to electronics in the main pocket, etc. on the other hand, it is a well thought out daypack for everything from handling those distant trips to the market(s), to scaling that 3,000 meter peak on a day hike. The pack is extremely comfortable fully loaded and is a pleasure to wear. Kudos to Matador for designing a brilliant all around light daypack suitable for serious travelers.

Beats most name brands—outstanding piece of gear

One of the best small/medium backpacks I have owned. Great for putting under the seat on flights. And I’m a technical junkie and have gone through many name brands (typically for climbing/alpine/hiking).
