Is the SEG28 personal item size compliant?
The SEG28 is a soft-sided pack that complies to personal item size requirements for most airlines. Personal item dimensional requirements vary slightly by airline, which is one of many reasons we prefer a soft-sided pack over hard-exterior luggage. Even when fully packed, the back panel padding has enough give to conform to the luggage measurement apparatus for most airlines, both domestically and internationally.

What size laptop will the laptop pocket accommodate?
The fully padded, protected laptop pocket is easily accessed from the top of the pack. It fits up to 16" laptops from most manufacturers.
(Designer Notes: Fully packed SEG28 tested with 16" MacBook Pro—dimensions 14" long, 9 3/4" wide, 3/4" deep.)

Does the SEG28 include a hip belt?
The SEG28 has a removeable hip belt that adds stability while wearing the pack. It is included and easily installed or removed depending on whether or not you prefer it. There are anchor points for a duffle bag style shoulder strap (not included).

Is the SEG28 waterproof?
The SEG28 is built from waterproof materials and has YKK® sealing zippers on all external pockets. This pack is designed to withstand light to medium precipitation for short periods. Outdoor coatings add further protection by letting water slick off the fabric.

Can I use the SEG28 as a daily backpack?
The SEG28 is an excellent daily-carry backpack for people that need organization throughout their day. The segmented pockets lend themselves to organizing by activity or item- isolating work essentials, lunch, a change of clothes, gym shoes, and tech accessories. If you are the kind of person that sets out in the morning for a full day, the SEG28 will quickly make you wonder how you ever got by without it. Most Matador® team members choose to carry a SEG28 for this reason. Combining your daily carry with a travel-ready personal item is efficient and effective, letting you maintain more of your routine when you’re away from home.

How big is the water bottle pocket?
The external water bottle pocket can fit the largest of water bottles, including 1-liter bottles and Nalgenes®.

How long is the warranty?
The SEG28 has a 3 year, Total-Protection-Warranty. SEG28 is built to last—with the highest quality outdoor fabrics, bartack reinforced construction, and strategic patterning that guarantees long-term performance. Equipment in and out of warranty is eligible for free repairs. (Excludes European Union)

Love it

Packing cubes plus the segments make this bag hyper packable. Organizing is so easy when your bag has built in organization that doesn't actually take up bag volume.

Did one 3 day trip with it to test it and it went great. About to go on a month+ trip with multiple locations before returning home. I've done this trip multiple times but I feel like this time I'll actually have everything I need in just the backpack without any other needed external bags.

Love it!

Perfect backpack for weekend trips and traveling :) lots of room for organization and the white color and design are impeccable.

The shipping and boarder charges to Canada were expensive, so keep that in mind!

I love this backpack and would highly recommend it to anyone. The dividers work seamlessly and the quality of materials is great. I was able to take it on Delta and American Airlines as a personal item. I’d give it five stars but I do have one complaint…. I am a shorter woman with a bigger bust and I feel like this bag was 100% designed for the average male. I can’t comfortably use the sternum strap because it is fixed in place and hits right at nip level. This then causes a ripple effect making carrying a heavier load pretty uncomfortable. The shoulders rose up away from me and the bag seemed tilted backwards. Pretty much all top end backpacks like this have a track up the shoulder straps so you can slide the sternum strap to what fits you best. Women typically like to use this strap above the bust below the collar bones. Please consider making this change, in the meantime I am going to test out my seamstress skills and see what I might be able to do to improve the comfort for me.
